Product Review -Nelly’s Organics

Since cutting out processed foods in 2013, I’m pretty much an ingredient nazi.  I read everything! If there’s something I cannot pronounce, something toxic, or more than 5 ingredients I put it back.  So when I came across Nelly’s Organics at Sprouts I was impressed! They were vegan,  raw, organic, and I could pronounce every ingredient listed! Oh, and did I mention they are delicious!

I was also impressed with the story of Nelly’s Organics because it resonated with me. Nelly’s Organics was started by Carla, Nelly’s daughter. Nelly died when Carla was 18 from breast cancer and Carla suspected that poor eating habits lead to the dis-ease. This caused Carla to look for healthier alternatives to the sugary desserts in the market, she could not find any so she made her own. Nelly Organics uses fair trade chocolate, it’s sustainable and organic.

The bars come in a variety of different flavors.

My favorite flavor is German Chocolate & Nutty Nougat but there isn’t one that I don’t like.

This ingredient list isn’t scary! I know what everything is that is listed.

I definitely recommend these to everyone they are a great alternative to Snickers, Twix, Hershey and any other candy bar of junk! You can give these to your children without feeling guilty. Theses are #jazzzieapproved !

If you are in Houston you can find them at the Sprouts on Yale in the Heights. They will also be in Sam’s Club very soon.
